Hi there!
I am Beatriz, but you can call me B, Bea, Bia, Bebe, I answer to them all.
I am a pao-de-queijo-loving, actress, singer, producer and teaching artist and when it comes to art, I have done a little bit of everything.
I have a BA in Filmmaking from FAAP, a degree in Musical Theatre, am an alumnus of Terry Knickerbocker’s Meisner Conservatory and I worked as the Associate Director of New Works for Abingdon Theatre Co.
My mantra in life is a sentence that I tell my preschool students: “kindness leads to kindness”, in Portuguese: “gentileza gera gentileza”.
My love for musicals brought me to NY, where I have done Off-Broadway shows such as Serenade and Tennessee on Hudson, and musicals, namely Surviving the Moonlight (Short North Stage, Columbus OH), The Wedding Singer, Chess and Once Upon a Mattress.
Some of my recent TV and Film credits include; Maria’s friend in the Amazon Prime feature film Música starring Rudy Mancuso and Camila Mendes, Kim in the feature film (directed by Lindsay Korman-Hartley) Sinister Cover-Up, Meg in the web-series Baggage Claimed, Sofia in the short film I'm No Longer An Artist, the mom in the Trvl Channel show Horror High, Samantha in Winning New York, and Isabel in the bilingual Spanish/English feature film Amor Fati.
I have been very lucky to work with brilliant and inspiring people in NYC who always remind me that all types of bodies, races and gender identities should be respected and valued.
I can’t wait to meet and to work with you!
Beijos,
Bea.
